Unit Outlines are generally published by Week One of the relevant teaching period.You will learn the five common traps that beginner writers fall into.As you progress you will begin to discover your own authentic voice.Reflect, review and assess their own writing practice;5.Produce work to a finished standard with respect to editing and revision;6.Whether you are interested in writing novels, or writing for TV and film, or theatre, radio, or copywriting or blogs, there are many practical exercises which can help you find your voice and develop and hone your skills. This course focuses far more on creativity than academia. ) However, the course is perhaps not best suited for anyone with only a basic level of the English language.On top of discussions and individual and group exercises in class, you will be encouraged to write at home and to share your work with the group to gain feedback should you wish. Graduates of the Introductory course receive a 10% discount on our 30 Week Fiction / Memoir Course, taught by some of NZ's leading authors.Tutor John Cranna, Director of the Creative Hub, is the winner of the Commonwealth Writers Prize for Best First Book, and the NZ Book Award for Fiction.We also provide you with a reading list for future guidance, plus a free follow-up workshop later in the year.Thirty Creative Hub graduates have published novels or been successful in national writing awards in the last three years.
