Like depression, loneliness, and countless other examples, evil is nothing more than the condition present when a fundamental necessity is missing.

Even though these things don’t “exist” in the truest sense of the word, they are phenomena that can be witnessed, experienced, and even cured.

And while this can be the result of someone moving you unawares to an unfamiliar location, it is most often the consequence of your own actions.

As darkness only “exists” wherever light is absent, and “lost” only exists when nothing familiar is present, so too does evil exist wherever God is absent.

The setting of this epic is the six century in Denmark and southern Sweden.

The protagonist, Beowulf is a noble warrior represents the goodness battles against the evil monsters- Grendel, Grendel’s mother and the fiery dragon in order to save his country. “For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost” (Luke ). If you truly believe and trust this in your heart, receiving Jesus alone as your Savior, declaring, "Jesus is Lord," you will be saved from judgment and spend eternity with God in heaven. This paper provides an analysis of Anthony Burgess’ novel, A Clockwork Orange.Consider that “lost” is not a thing that exists, either. While one can be “lost,” and we certainly have all experienced this condition, there is not a thing called “lost.” You are lost when there is nothing familiar present to tell you where you are.And there is the story of the battle of good versus evil and which of these forces may win in the end.Anthony Burgess’s 1962 novel A Clockwork Orange is an especially creative version of this latter archetype. Some choose evil in that they simply don’t seek God, while others choose evil in that they actively seek to destroy God’s creation (terrorists, for example), and still others choose “evil” when they defile their bodies with drugs or other things that break it down. For instance, if your child is born with fetal alcohol syndrome because of your lifestyle choices, it is not God’s fault, but yours. All the literature that has ever been written can be reduced to a few essential plots – perhaps indeed merely two plots. There is the story of the quest – for everything from the Holy Grail to the maiden whose foot will fit inside the enchanted crystal slipper.
